This is me, Omar Kattan -a search engine marketing expert- and this is my blog.  

I work in Search as a profession and I also own various hobby websites that I’ve created.

My areas of expertise include Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Online Reputation Management (ORM) and Pay Per Click marketing (PPC).  More specificall I specialise in:

• Building and optimising websites through php and mysql. This basically means that I can create dynamically optimised websites, driven by databases, and using the wonderful language of php and the open source database application that is mysql. 

• Buidling bespoke SEO, ORM and PPC tools to help manage search marketing campaigns.

• Social media optimisation, including creating and managing social media profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, etc..

• Paid Search (PPC).  While I do not manage PPC campaign on a professional level, I work with PPC managers to ensure that their campaigns are optimised to deliver high return on investment (ROI). 

• Installing and managing Site-side Analytics programs as well as reporting on key perfomance indicators (KPIs) and improving website usability and conversion.

What differentiates this blog from other Search blogs is that its not too technical.  Its really for those people who don’t understand search too much and would like to learn more about it. 

I will also regularly post free SEO tips and tricks that I’ve gathered over the years so stay tuned…
